Dhabeji Sanitary Landfill

Karachi relies largely on unmanaged dumping, with limited engineered disposal capacity for one of South Asia's largest urban populations. Dhabeji was selected as the site for a new engineered sanitary landfill to anchor safe municipal disposal for the region.

Libanconsult has led the full project development cycle since 2025, from strategic planning through to site construction management.

Scope covers the comprehensive master plan, feasibility study, preliminary and detailed design to international environmental standards, bidding documents, contract and project management, and construction supervision of the new landfill cell.

The facility will give Karachi engineered disposal capacity built to international environmental standards, in place of uncontrolled dumping.
