Mreste Dam

Mreste is a small-to-medium storage scheme in a rural Lebanese catchment where local water availability was limited.

Libanconsult delivered the engineering studies and construction supervision of the dam for the Ministry of Energy and Water, covering design review, on-site supervision and quality assurance throughout construction.

The works comprised the earthfill dam body, spillway, and water intake and outlet structures, together with the ancillary works required to bring the reservoir into service.

The completed dam added storage capacity for the surrounding rural area.
