Srar Sanitary Landfill

Akkar had no engineered solid waste disposal, leaving uncontrolled dumping as the default across northern Lebanon. The Srar Sanitary Landfill was designed to close that gap.

Libanconsult delivered the full detailed design in 2017 for the Council for Development and Reconstruction, including execution drawings and tender documents for the complete facility.

The design covers the sanitary landfill with its leachate extraction and collection networks and pond, biogas extraction and collection, drainage networks, administrative and operation buildings, roads and infrastructure networks, landscaping and a site closure plan.

CDR holds a procurement-ready facility to replace uncontrolled dumping in Akkar, with closure planned into the design from the outset.
