Aley and Jurd Aley Wastewater Systems

The Aley and Jurd Aley regions of Mount Lebanon needed a coordinated feasibility and environmental assessment to frame wastewater investment across their villages. The Council for Development and Reconstruction commissioned two successive assignments covering the full area.

Libanconsult delivered both: the feasibility study and ESIA for the Aley Region wastewater systems and treatment plants in Gharb and Chahhar, part of zone 7 (2015-2019), and the feasibility study and ESIA for the Jurd Aley Region covering Gharb and Harf (2017-2019).

The work covered feasibility studies, alternatives analysis and environmental and social impact assessment of the wastewater systems and treatment plants, with preliminary design of networks, pumping and treatment components as required.

CDR holds the alternatives ranking and environmental clearance needed to take both regions into detailed design.
