Bint Jbeil Wastewater Treatment Plant and Networks

The Caza of Bint Jbeil in South Lebanon needed a dedicated wastewater treatment facility and collection network to serve its growing urban footprint and protect downstream waterways. The Council for Development and Reconstruction commissioned two successive mandates.

Libanconsult delivered both: the feasibility study and EIA for the Bint Jbeil and Chakra Wastewater Projects (2005-2006), then the detailed design, tender documents and tendering assistance for the Bint Jbeil WWTP and networks (2009-2013).

The design covers a 50,000 Population Equivalent treatment plant and its associated wastewater networks, preceded by the feasibility assessment and environmental impact assessment that established the scheme.

CDR holds a tender-ready programme bringing 50,000 PE of treatment capacity to the Caza of Bint Jbeil.
