Chouf and Sawfar Wastewater Master Plan

The Chouf and Sawfar regions needed a coordinated plan to frame wastewater treatment investment across their dispersed mountain villages. The Council for Development and Reconstruction commissioned a programme-level mandate, later extended.

Libanconsult delivered the master plan (1998-2006) and its extension (2008-2013), providing the technical and programmatic framework for wastewater treatment across both regions.

Scope covered the regional master plan, identification and prioritisation of treatment plants, alternatives analysis at both regional and village level, and the investment programming needed to support subsequent design and construction.

The master plan became the backbone of the Chouf wastewater programme, and Libanconsult has since delivered against it across multiple villages in the region.
