Elbistan Water Transmission Line and Networks

Elbistan, in Turkey's Kahramanmaras province, needed a major renewal of its water transmission line and distribution network to sustain service to a growing urban area. The General Directorate of Kahramanmaras Water and Sewerage Administration (KASKI) commissioned a two-phase programme.

Libanconsult delivered the design review and bidding documents (2021-2022), then full construction supervision under FIDIC conditions from 2022, acting as KASKI's independent engineer across design validation, procurement and execution.

The works renew 253 km of distribution network and 69 km of transmission line, and construct five new concrete reservoirs with associated auxiliary equipment. Scope covers hydraulic optimisation, material selection and works supervision across urban Elbistan.

Elbistan is replacing more than 320 km of water main under a single independently supervised programme.
