Jiyye Wastewater Pumping Station

The Jiyye wastewater pumping station forms part of the Chouf coastal wastewater system, and its siting on plot 2146 required a dedicated environmental management plan and alternatives analysis before execution could proceed. The Council for Development and Reconstruction commissioned a focused EMP mandate.

Libanconsult delivered the Environmental Management Plan and analysis of alternatives between 2016 and 2017.

Scope covered environmental baseline characterisation, analysis of alternative siting and configuration options, and the Environmental Management Plan required to secure clearance for the preferred site at the south-western corner of the plot.

CDR obtained the environmental basis to proceed with construction of the pumping station within the Chouf coastal wastewater network.
