Kasan and Mubarek Water Supply

Kashkadarya Region in southern Uzbekistan depends on deteriorating Soviet-era water systems that no longer meet its communities' needs. An ADB-funded programme targets the Kasan and Mubarek districts to modernise distribution, cut losses and extend safe water access.

Libanconsult has been design and implementation support consultant to the State Unitary Enterprise Suvokava of Kashkadarya Region since 2020, delivering detailed design, tender documents, procurement assistance, construction supervision and institutional capacity building.

The scheme reconstructs four water distribution units, 19 km of main transmission conduits and over 330 km of secondary distribution network, with new and upgraded pumping stations, storage and metering, alongside operator support to embed modern operation and maintenance practice.

Once operational, the scheme will secure reliable piped water across Kasan and Mubarek and provide a working model for the rest of Kashkadarya Region's network programme.
