Potable Water Networks Rehabilitation Programme

Lebanon's potable water networks needed rehabilitation and expansion across all four governorates, under a series of contracts with the Ministry of Energy and Water and the Economic and Social Fund for Development.

Libanconsult was supervision consultant across three successive contracts: the ESFD programme covering Wadi Khaled, Akroum, Kfartoun, Mhamara, El Sahle, Qonia and El Kobbeh in Akkar (2014-2018); contract 3873/2015 for 282 km of network across the Bekaa, Mount Lebanon and South Lebanon serving 150,000 residents (2015-2019); and the reservoirs and transmission lines programme covering 350 km and seven new reservoirs serving 200,000 residents (2017-2021).

Scope covered feasibility studies and design review where required, tender documents, full construction supervision of transmission lines, distribution networks, reservoirs and pumping stations, and project management across dozens of construction packages.

The three contracts together supervised over 630 km of potable water network serving 350,000 residents across four governorates.
