Sewerage Master Plans for Seven Regions

In the late 1990s Lebanon's national wastewater strategy required coordinated master planning across multiple regions to support post-war rehabilitation of the sector. The Council for Development and Reconstruction commissioned master plans covering seven regions spread across the North, Mount Lebanon and the South.

Libanconsult delivered the master plans between 1996 and 2000, covering Amioun/Kousba, Chekka, Baadbate/Dlaibe, Batroun, Jbeil, the Chouf Region and Nabatiyeh.

Scope covered demand projection, alternatives analysis and preparation of a sewerage management master plan for each of the seven regions, with a feasibility study framing the subsequent investment programme.

These master plans laid the programmatic foundation for the major coastal WWTPs and regional networks that were designed, built and supervised for the CDR over the following two decades - much of it work that appears elsewhere in this portfolio.
