Nizwa Sewerage, Treatment Plant and Manah Reuse Line

Nizwa, one of Oman's historic regional capitals, needs a major wastewater programme to serve its growing population and the surrounding communities. Oman Water & Wastewater Services Company commissioned two linked mandates in 2024.

Libanconsult delivers both for OWWSC: design and supervision of the Nizwa Phase I sewer, treated-effluent network and sewage treatment plant, and design and construction supervision of the Nizwa to Manah treated-effluent line, under OWWSC's FIDIC-style procurement and supervision procedures.

Scope covers the Phase I sewer network, the treated-effluent distribution network and the sewage treatment plant serving Nizwa, plus a dedicated line conveying treated effluent to Manah for reuse, all to OWWSC engineering and environmental standards.

Together the two mandates give Nizwa and Manah a wastewater and reuse backbone where none existed - collection, treatment and a reuse outlet designed as one system.
