Tabarja Sea Outfall

The Tabarja coastline needed an emergency sea outfall to manage wastewater discharge from the wider Kesrouan coastal area while longer-term treatment infrastructure was developed.

Libanconsult delivered both mandates for the Council for Development and Reconstruction: detailed engineering design and tender documents (2015), then construction supervision (2017-2022).

The outfall is 400 m long at 1,000 mm diameter with a diffuser, sized and positioned to meet coastal environmental standards while providing an emergency discharge route for the Kesrouan catchment.

The outfall protects bathing waters along the Tabarja coastline and gives the Kesrouan coast a managed, engineered discharge point.
