Bouar Port

Bouar on Lebanon's central coast needed a new fishing port to improve shelter and service for its local community.

Libanconsult designed and supervised the port for the Ministry of Public Works and Transport between 1995 and 2003, with execution in phases under continuous supervision.

The port comprises a 278 m main breakwater at 8 m depth protected with 16 m3 Accropode units and armour material, together with quay, jetties, buildings and ancillary works.

Bouar's fleet has safe, modern berthing behind 278 m of Accropode-protected breakwater.
