Cimenterie Nationale Seawater Intake System

Cimenterie Nationale S.A.L needed a dedicated seawater intake to supply process water to its Chekka plant continuously from the adjacent Mediterranean coast.

Libanconsult designed and supervised the full scheme in 2007-2008.

The system comprises an intake channel, pumping station structures, an inlet water reservoir, underwater concrete works and the reinforced-concrete structures required for continuous abstraction and delivery to the plant.

One of Lebanon's major cement producers draws its process water through infrastructure designed and built under a single engagement.
