Dbayeh Port

Dbayeh on Lebanon's central coast needed a modernised port able to serve local maritime activity and stand up to the local wave environment.

Libanconsult delivered the full design and supervision in 2004-2007 (execution in phases), then returned in 2011-2012 with a further design assignment for the Ministry of Public Works and Transport covering surveys, MIKE 21 mathematical modelling, detailed design and tender documents.

The port comprises a 276 m main breakwater at 9 m depth protected with 16 m3 and 18 m3 Accropode units and armour, together with quay and jetty structures, port buildings and ancillary works.

Dbayeh has a modern, well-sheltered port, extended once and modelled before each stage.
