Jounieh Commercial Port

Jounieh needed additional commercial berthing to support growing trade and passenger traffic in the greater Beirut maritime area.

Libanconsult delivered the design and supervision for the Ministry of Public Works and Transport between 1996 and 2000, with works executed in phases under continuous supervision.

The works centre on a concrete extension of the main jetty at 6 m depth, together with the breakwater, quay, port building and ancillary works required to bring the extension into service.

Jounieh gained expanded commercial berthing integrated into the port's existing infrastructure.
