Saida Fish Market Rehabilitation

Saida's fish market is the service heart of the port, and its structure and fit-out had deteriorated to the point of needing full rehabilitation.

Libanconsult supervised the works for the Ministry of Public Works and Transport between 2016 and 2017, managing contractor activity, quality assurance, inspections and contract administration through to handover.

The works covered reinforced-concrete repairs, roof tile rehabilitation, doors and windows, new toilet facilities, electrical works, and interior and exterior painting and finishes.

The fishermen and traders working out of Saida Port have a sound, properly equipped market building.
