Saida Fishermen Port

Saida's fishing port had aging quay structures, piers and buildings, and operating depths that no longer served its fleet. A comprehensive rehabilitation was commissioned by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.

Libanconsult supervised the works between 2018 and 2020, covering site supervision, contract administration, quality control and inspections through to handover.

The rehabilitation delivered a reinforced-concrete quay superstructure, new port buildings, pier construction and dredging to restore operating depths.

Saida's fishing community gained better berthing, safer working conditions and restored depths, without losing the port's historic character.
